3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
