And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 (And unto the evil-doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day. 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ Man's other self' will say: "O our Sustainer! It was not I that led his conscious mind into evil [nay,] but it had gone far astray [of its own accord]! 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Word cannot be changed with Me; I do not wrong My worshipers' 29
