Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 there are signs for firm believers. Do you not see then? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
