Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
