Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
