A group of his people who disbelieved him and had called the Day of Judgment a lie and whom We had made prosperous in this life, said, "He is a mere mortal like you. He eats and drinks as you do. 33 And were ye to obey a human being like you, ye are forthwith to be losers. 34 "Does he promise that when ye die and become dust and bones, ye shall be brought forth (again)? 35 ۞ Away, away with that you are promised! 36 There exists only our present life: we die and we live [but once], and shall never be raised up again. 37 He is only a man who invents lies against God, so have no faith in him". 38 He said, “My Lord! Help me as they deny me.” 39 Allah said: after a little while they will become regretful. 40 And the Cry seized them in justice and We made them withered. So begone with the harmdoing nation. 41 AND AFTER them We gave rise to new generations: 42 No nation can go before its term ends nor stay back. 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession, every time there came to a nation their Messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another (to destruction), and We made them as Ahadith (the true stories for mankind to learn a lesson from them). So away with a people who believe not. 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves, and their people are obedient to us with humility (and we use them to serve us as we like)." 47 So they denied them both [Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)] and became of those who were destroyed. 48 And We gave the Book to Moses so that they may be guided. 49 and We made Mary's son, and his mother, to be a sign, and gave them refuge upon a height, where was a hollow and a spring: 50
