The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 and when they are reminded [of the truth,] they refuse to take it to heart; 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
