Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
