Hizb 46

AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 They used to say before: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
