Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 These men do say, 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
