Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
