It is He who sends down rain from the sky; from it is drink and from it is foliage in which you pasture [animals]. 10 With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date-palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily! In this is indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And other things of different shades has He produced on the earth for you. In this are signs for those who reflect. 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; 15 And landmarks. And by the stars they are [also] guided. 16 Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember? 17 If you count the favors of Allah, you could not number them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and the Most Merciful. 18 and God knows all that you keep secret as well as all that you bring into the open. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not alive; and they do not know when will the people be raised. 21
