Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and to whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of this life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink. 33 And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers. 34 What! does he threaten you that when you are dead and become dust and bones that you shall then be brought forth? 35 ۞ "Far, very far is that which you are promised. 36 There is only the life of this world: We die and we live: there is no rising from the dead for us. 37 He is only a man who hath invented a lie about Allah. We are not going to put faith in him. 38 The Messenger prayed, "Lord, help me; they have called me a liar". 39 He said, 'In a little they will be remorseful.' 40 And the Cry seized them justly, and We made them as scum; so away with the people of the evildoers! 41 Then after them We raised other generations. 42 No nation can live beyond its allotted time, or lag behind. 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Whenever a Messenger came to his people they rejected him, calling him a liar. Thereupon, We made each people to follow the other (to its doom), reducing them to mere tales (of the past). Scourged be the people who do not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and a manifest authority 45 to Pharaoh and to his chiefs, but they behaved superciliously and they were haughty. 46 They therefore said, “Shall we believe in two humans like ourselves, whereas their nation is servile to us?” 47 So they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed. 48 for, indeed, We had vouchsafed revelation unto Moses in order that they might find the right way. 49 And [as We exalted Moses, so, too,] We made the son of Mary and his mother a symbol [of Our grace,] and provided for both an abode in a lofty place of lasting restfulness and unsullied springs. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
