The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
