3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said, 'I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
