Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed, and We gave them enjoyment for awhile. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 176 But then, once it alights upon them, hapless will be the awakening of those who were warned [to no avail]! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
