The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
