The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
