Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
