(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and may remember You much. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
