۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 and they have enraged us, 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 We saved Moses and all the people with him 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 In this there was certainly evidence (of the Truth), but most of them did not have any faith. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
