In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Alif. Lam. Ra. THESE ARE MESSAGES of a revelation clear in itself and clearly showing the truth: 1 We have revealed it in the Arabic language so that you (people) would understand it. 2 In revealing this Quran to you, We tell you the best of the stories of which you were unaware. 3 When Joseph told his father: "O my father, I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon bowing before me in homage," 4 His father said: "My son! Do not relate your dream to your brothers lest they hatch a plot to harm you. Indeed Satan is man's open enemy. 5 "Thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of dreams (and other things) and perfect His Favour on you and on the offspring of Ya'qub (Jacob), as He perfected it on your fathers, Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ishaque (Isaac) aforetime! Verily, your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise." 6
