▼ 17 The Night Journey
Al-Isra 9 of 12
BE CONSTANT in [thy] prayer from the time when the sun has passed its zenith till the darkness of night, and [be ever mindful of its] recitation at dawn: for, behold, the recitation [of prayer] at dawn is indeed witnessed [by all that is holy]. 78 And of the night - keep the vigil therein, as an act of supererogation for thee; belike thy Lord will raise thee up in a station praised. 79 And say (O Muhammad SAW): My Lord! Let my entry (to the city of Al-Madinah) be good, and likewise my exit (from the city of Makkah) be good. And grant me from You an authority to help me (or a firm sign or a proof). 80 And proclaim: "The Truth has come, and falsehood has vanished. Surely falsehood is ever bound to vanish." 81 We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss. 82 And when We show favour unto man, he turneth away and withdraweth on his side; and when evil toucheth him he is ever despairing. 83 Say: Every one acts according to his manner; but your Lord best knows who is best guided in the path. 84
