Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 What, would they then say: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
