Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful - 2 a divine writ, the messages whereof have been clearly spelled out as a discourse in the Arabic tongue for people of [innate] knowledge, 3 A herald of good news and a warner, but most of them turn aside so they hear not. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take Straight Path to Him (with true Faith Islamic Monotheism) and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. And woe to Al-Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc. - see V. 2:105). 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 Lo! as for those who believe and do good works, for them is a reward enduring. 8
