He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 To him you give attention. 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and fears (Allah), 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 uplifted, purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Noble and righteous. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 How We pour water in showers 25 and then We cleave the earth [with new growth,] cleaving it asunder, 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 and dense orchards, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others. 37 Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 38 laughing and joyous 39 And many will be dust-begrimed, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
