The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
