The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 For all their deeds. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
