The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
