Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaaf. By the Glorious Koran! 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We have sent down from the heaven water and blest wherewith We have caused gardens to grow and the grain reaped. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
