Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
