Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 and the severally severing 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
