The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 And believeth in goodness; 6 Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Indeed, Guidance is Ours, 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 and confers no favor upon anyone for recompense 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
