And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 while We had brought the jinn into being before out of blazing fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration! 29 then the angels all prostrated themselves together. 30 But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 Iblis replied, "I did not want to prostrate before a human being whom You have created out of mud-moulded clay". 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 He said: So surely you are of the respited ones 37 Till the Day of appointed time. 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 Save such of them as are Thy perfectly devoted slaves. 40 (Allah) said: "This is the Way which will lead straight to Me." 41 Over My true servants you will be able to exercise no power, your power will be confined to the erring ones, those who choose to follow you. 42 and for all such, behold, hell is the promised goal. 43 It hath seven gates, and each gate hath an appointed portion. 44
