T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 a revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 “The Last Day will surely come it was close that I hide it from all in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
