The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
