We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
