Therefore continue to give warning, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer or a madman. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Is this what their senses tell them, or are they a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Did they come into being without any creator? Or were they their own creators? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
