Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
