Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble, writers 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
