By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
