Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion of the Universe, and Who has power over everything; 1 Who hath created life and death that He may try you which of you is best in conduct; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 3 Then lift your gaze again, your gaze will return towards you, unsuccessful and weak. 4 And indeed We have beautified the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them weapons against the devils, and have kept prepared for them the punishment of the blazing fire. 5 Those who are bent on blaspheming against their Lord will have the punishment of Hell: an evil destination. 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear its roaring as it boils up, 7 It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" 8 They will say: yea! surely there came a warner unto us, but we belied, and said: God hath not sent down aught, we are naught but in a great error. 9 And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze." 10 So it is that they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 Verily! Those who fear their Lord unseen (i.e. they do not see Him, nor His Punishment in the Hereafter, etc.), theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). 12 And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
