The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
