The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
