Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; 61 And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness. 62 Devotees of Ar-Rahman are those who walk with humility on the earth, and when they are addressed by the ignorant, say: 'Peace;" 63 And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 64 Who say: 'Our Lord, turn from us the punishment of Gehenna, for its punishment is the most terrible; 65 Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence." 66 And those who, when spending, neither exceed the limits nor act miserly, and stay in moderation between the two. 67 those who never invoke any other deity besides God, nor take a life which God has made sacred, except with the right to do so, nor commit adultery. Anyone who does that shall face punishment: 68 and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide in a state of ignominy, 69 Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, 70 And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance. 71 And those who do not give false evidence, and if they come across unbecoming talk ignore it and pass by in a sedate way; 72 who, when reminded of the revelations of their Lord, do not try to ignore them as though deaf and blind. Rather, they try to understand and think about them. 73 And those who say: "O Lord, give us comfort in our spouses and children, and make us paragons of those who follow the straight path." 74 They will all receive Paradise as their reward for their forbearance and patience, where they will be greeted with, "Peace be with you." 75 therein to abide: [and] how goodly an abode and [how high] a station! 76 O Muhammad, tell the people, "MyLord does not care at all if you do not invoke Him. Now that you have denied (His Revelation), you will soon be awarded such a punishment which you will never be able to avoid." 77
