The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And those who recite the message, 3 surely, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And as protection against every rebellious devil 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 cast out [from all grace,] with lasting suffering in store for them [in the life to come]; 9 Except one who sometimes steals a part, so a blazing flame goes after him. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
