We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
