The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the racers, panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 The human being is certainly ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
