And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 They hold a sin against me, and I fear that they will kill me' 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
