Noah supplicated, "Lord, they have disobeyed me, and followed those whose wealth and children have only added to their ruin; 21 and they have hatched a mighty plot, 22 "And they have said: 'You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth, nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr (names of the idols); 23 "They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)." 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Noah (supplicated) saying: 'My Lord, do not leave a single unbeliever upon the earth. 26 Surely, if You leave them they will mislead Your worshipers and father none but the immoral, and unbelievers. 27 “O my Lord! Forgive me, and my parents, and the believers who are in my house, and all other Muslim men and Muslim women; and do not increase anything for the unjust except ruin.” 28
